Gary Crow – 9am-2pm
Get to know Crowski a little better…
Q: What are your top three favorite Classic Rock albums?
A: Abbey Road (The Beatles), Dark Side of the Moon (Pink Floyd) and Back In Black (AC/DC)
Q: What has been the best concert you’ve seen in Seattle?
A: To be honest I have many, however, for Seattle it would have to be Roger Waters at KeyArena in 2008. Amazing show with all your favorites, and then, after intermission, he performed Dark Side of the Moon in its entirety! I must add to that list, simply because this was outside Seattle, AC/DC at the Tacoma Dome in August of 2009. That show was the best I have ever seen and heard. Having my brother with me was an added bonus.
Q: What is the oddest request you’ve gotten from a KZOK listener?
A: I drove to Ellensburg to surprise two listeners at their wedding. They were huge fans of the station and the show. I walked up just before their nuptials and handed the bride roses.
Q: What is your favorite place to eat in the area?
A: Of course that depends on what you are hungry for, right? The Metropolitan Grill, for the best steak in the world, period! Dick’s for a burger and the 13 Coins for breakfast.
Q: What is one thing people don’t know about Gary Crow?
A: I wear two pairs of underwear.
Oh, and don’t leave the Crow page without stopping by Crow’s Corner
Crowski isn’t too thrilled about Robert Plant saying there was a “zero chance” that Led Zeppelin would be reuniting. However, Gary did find a blessing in disguise with the situation.
There is a new effort being made to reunite the original members of Seattle’s legendary rock outfit Heart. A Florida resident named Dan Lang launched a petition called “Reunite ‘Heart’ – Worldwide Support of Original Members Reunion Tour.”
Gary Crow’s Final Four is still a possibility, which certainly can’t be said for Danny. Sarah’s Beaver is making some noise too, just two points behind Crowski — and two points ahead of Sarah.
There is something else you get out of the Led Zeppelin reissues…
In case you hadn’t jotted it down in your daily planner already, Daylight Savings hits the U.S. Saturday night. For the rest of the country, it means you lose an hour of sleep. For Seattle, [...]
Crowski is back with a BIG GAME preview…sorta. You’ll just have to watch.
Merry Christmas, kids! Santa Crow is back down at Crow’s Corner. In this edition, Santa Crow takes a minute to read some of the fan mail he gets.
These tips are from Crowski…not safety professionals. So, ya know, keep that in mind.
Crow took his camera to The Eagles show in the Key Arena last month. He just got the film developed….do people still use film? Gary does…
The Eagles nailed it from the start — serving up some lost classic’s like “Whatever Happened To Saturday Night.” What was also incredible was the first half guest Bernie Leadon (who played with the band before the Joe Walsh era began).
