When you visit a new city, or a new country, you’ll invariably see local beers, as well as the old standby’s. I’ve yet to visit any place that didn’t have at least one beer on the menu I know. However, it’s very rare that I’ll order that. I always want to try something new, and something local to the place I’m visiting. That held true for my weekend trip to New Orleans. Now, N.O. is known for it’s “hurricane’s” and “daiquiri’s” and “alcohol slushies”. But there are several local beers worth walking down Bourbon Street with. Standouts were Parish Brewing Co’s Pale Ale and Southern Prohibition’s Devil’s Harvest Pale.
Now, I did have several amazing cocktails, and coffee and oysters. Check out my gallery below for the pictures. New Orleans is a really fun city, full of amazing architecture, lively people, great music, and some darn tasty beers.
