Trader Joe’s has great prices on most things, including beer! Who would have thunk it. The selection isn’t huge, and it varies week to week, but, there is always something interesting and affordable to try. This week I spotted a beer I’d never heard of. I have very little impulse control when it comes to new beer. I bought a six pack (for a steal) and poured it into a frosty glass as soon as I got home. This isn’t a very hoppy IPA, leans more toward the malt side of life, but it’s chock full of flavor nevertheless. I tried to do some research, and there isn’t much info, leading me to believe this is a brew made specially for TJ. It’s a real deal Maine brewery, though, from a very reputable brewery. Finding Maine beer, in Seattle? Not an easy task. Andrew Zimmern says, if it looks good, eat it. My beer motto? If it looks good, drink it! What do you have to lose!
