Guitar legend Jeff Beck will release a new album titled Loud Hailer. The 11-track effort will arrive on July 15.
Loud Hailer, which is another name for a megaphone, is Beck’s first new album in six years. It features an all-new band including British singer Rosie Bones and guitarist Carmen Vandenberg, who wrote the majority of the songs with Beck. While there are vocals on the majority of the effort fans will be happy to know that there are two signature Jeff Beck instrumentals titled “Pull It” and “Edna.”

The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer explains: “I really wanted to make a statement about some of the nasty things I see going on in the world today, and I loved the idea of being at a rally and using this loud device to shout my point of view.” The album’s first single, “Live In The Dark,” will be released soon.
Shortly after the release of Loud Hailer, Beck will launch a summer tour of the U.S. with blues legend Buddy Guy on July 19 in Port Chester, New York. The outing will see Beck make his Hollywood Bowl debut along with Guy and more special guests. The special concert will feature a career-spanning set that celebrates Beck’s 50 years in music with an orchestra. “It will be head teacher Beck in a gown and mortar board in front of the class giving everyone a history lesson,” he joked.
Jeff Beck has also been hard at work on his first official book, BECK01. The signed, limited edition book highlights Beck’s love of hot rodding and rock ‘n’ roll. Legendary jazz guitarist John McLaughlin wrote the forward in the book and calls Beck his “all-time favorite guitarist.” BECK01 be available on July 12.
