While Steven Tyler gears up for his Out On a Limb Summer Tour, his Aerosmith bandmates are considering tour of their own.
Rhythm guitarist Brad Whitford admits the rock legends have “considered” going on the road sans Tyler. “Absolutely, we have considered it – but whether it will happen I don’t know,” he tells MetalRules.com. “I think it would be great.”
Whitford is currently promoting his forthcoming album Reunion which is due out this June. “It’s like going on a vacation,” he shares. “Derek (St. Holmes) and I work well together and always have. It’s so different than Aerosmith’s process. With Steven [Tyler] working on his CD, I had a lot of time. It worked out really well for me.”
Whitford admits working with Aerosmith is a challenge because the band still has “a lot of turmoil.”
“[It] can be frustrating,” he admits. “It should be easy. The whole thing started because of the music. If the focus was right there everything would be fine, but we don’t. Let the drivers drive and let the music happen everything will fall into place. We get caught up into a lot of silly stuff.”
