The news that Christine McVie is reportedly rejoining Fleetwood Mac probably won’t surprise you.
Having officially retired from the band shortly after Fleetwood Mac’s 1998 induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, McVie recently joined the band on stage in England.
After that, both Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks expressed that they’d be happy to have McVie back in the band. Even McVie, who’d been reticent before to rejoin the band, told the Guardian, that she misses the band and would be “delighted” to be asked back.
According to Mick Fleetwood, she’s back.
During Friday’s (January 10) Uncle Willie K’s BBQ Blues Fest in Maui, Hawaii, Mick Fleetwood made an off-the-cuff announcement after performing McVie’s “Songbird.”
“This is the worst kept secret there is,” Mick Fleetwood told the crowd, according to FleetwoodMacNews.com. “But Christine McVie will be rejoining Fleetwood Mac!”
Fleetwood Mac haven’t announced any concert dates for 2014, but it has been strongly rumored that their tour will extend through this year.
