Mudhoney: I Like ‘Em Small!
Sure they played on top of The Space Needle this summer, and joined Pearl Jam on stage at their Key Arena show last Friday night, but big deal….last night Seattle’s “grunge” godfathers Mudhoney played a show that was very much like the early days of Seattle’s now legendary rock scene of the late 80’s, in the deliciously small confines of Full-Tilt Ice Cream in White Center (Now with four locations), to celebrate their newest flavor…Mudhoney! …complete with artwork by Seattle illustrator Ed Fotheringham taken from their 1991 Sub Pop album Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge.
Not surprisingly it’s got the fudge you deserve, plus chocolate, caramel, and cinnamon. Somewhat surprisingly if someone spills some on your coat, the s*** won’t wash out, but it’s tasty!
Really this was the way a band like this should be seen: In a small room with under a hundred of close friends and admirers, jumping up and down, sloshing in beer…sometimes with Ice Cream in it (try a Mudhoney beer-float! They’re awesome!).
Full-Tilt, to the best of our knowledge, is the only ice-creamery in Seattle with a proper WSLCB license that can sell beer-floats!
