During my last visit to Total Wine and More I picked up a mixed six pack of beers from around the world. One of them was Lomza, out of Poland. I drink a lot of German beer, just drank a ton of Finnish and Estonian beer, so this one looked interesting and different. Many European lagers can be hit or miss, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this one was solid. It’s medium bodied, refreshing, crisp, with a nice hoppy nose. I found it dry, bitter on the end, and really refreshing. As the summer winds down, this is the kind of beer to spend the last moments with. It’s worth it to pick up some beers you’ve never tried before, most of the time you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
