Did you know that today (Feb. 9) is the 19th annual Neighbor Appreciation Day?  And did you know that it originated right here in Seattle?  It’s all true.

Back in 1995, Mayor Norm Rice, officially declared the Saturday before Valentine’s Day as N.A.D.  A day when Seattleites are encouraged to take a deep breath and actually knock on your neighbors door and share a bottle of happiness together.

Or…do as I am about to do and head to a neighbors house to help him hang drywall!  (Something told me I shouldn’t have answered that call)

Go N.A.D.’s!
