Was craving Italian food this week, but prior to dinner I wanted to have a beverage at a pub I’d heard people rave about.  Despite living a stones throw from Queen Anne, I’d never been to, or even seen McManamins.  Considering it’s right behind the Seattle Center, I’m not sure how I’d missed it.  It’s warm and welcoming inside, with a quirky wrap around bar.  They brew a nice selection of beers.  I ordered McMenamins Hammerhead (5.6%) and Matt ordered their Terminator Stout (6.5).  The Hammerhead was fantastic!  Crisp, hoppy, malt hints, just a fantastic pale ale.  Matt raved about his stout as well.  We both enjoyed our beers so much we ordered another round and were late for our dinner reservation.  Oops.  Who needs dinner when you have great beer.  I’ll be back to McManamins, not even to try more of their beers, but just to drink the Hammerhead!  There are plenty of locations, don’t miss out on these brews.
