One of the many things I love about Washington is the seemingly endless selection of local beers. I’ve been told that each year the number of small brewers has gone up by leaps and bounds. I love discovering new beers, and the breweries that make them. A fine listener of our show gave me a four pack of beers from 7 Seas Brewing in Gig Harbor. I love beers that come in a can. I’ve been told it keeps the beer more pure as no light gets let in. I tried the Ballz Deep Double IPA, and the British Pale Ale. The IPA is citrusy, malty, bitter and hoppy. It’s very drinkable but at 8.4% ABV don’t plan on putting away too many of these. The British Pale Ale is perfectly hoppy, great carbonation, and crisp. Good stuff, and 5.5% ABV making it even more drinkable. You’ll be able to find these beers on tap all around WA, but if you go through Gig Harbor get a growler filled! Once again, a Washington brewery proving that this state puts out World Class beers.
