“What’s that thing on your nose?”

Danny’s appreciation for Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln somehow relates to his visit yesterday to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Danny was told to keep certain aspects of his visit secret, but fortunately, he can’t remember any of them. Not surprisingly, Danny was thoroughly impressed by the professionalism of our military and the extraordinary might of the United States.

The decision by some big box retailers to open on Thanksgiving, moving the Black Friday rush up a day to coincide with the holiday, has upset some workers whose Thanksgiving will be preempted because they have to work. How do you feel about Black Friday sales beginning on Thanksgiving? Is it unfair to workers, or should they be glad they have a job?
