Today (9/13) is Free Beer Thursday at FX McRory’s Bar just north of Century Link Field.  And when I say “free beer”, I mean literally one free beer per person who shows up between 4 – 6PM today only.  And you can thank Seattle’s Most Popular Guy At The Moment, Mr. Chris Hansen, the big guns behind the new arena deal.

After the city’s recent announcement that they are now backing Hansen’s latest arena proposal, Hansen was so excited that he shouted, “First round is on me!“.  And as we are quickly learning, Chris Hansen (not the “To Catch A Predator” guy) is a man of his word and is buying a free beer for anyone over 21 who shows up at the bar this afternoon.

And for those of you who think that a fake nose and pair of glasses might fool someone into giving you an extra free round, fuh get about it.  Chris “Santa Claus” Hansen will be at the front door to personally greet you and hand you a single drink ticket.

And as my dear old granny used to say to us kids, “I may not do much around here, but I’ll do most anything for one free beer”.
