Russian River Brewing out of California has managed to brew some of the best beers I’ve had in years.  My favorite is Pliny the Elder, and since it’s so hard to find I decided to try out one I’ve not tried, called Redemption.  It lightened my wallet, but I was hoping like Pliny it would be worth every cent

Redemption ferments in the bottle, and is sealed with a cork.  It smells like bananas, but thankfully doesn’t taste like bananas.  It tastes like blonde Belgian heaven.  It has that nice spicy finish that only Belgian beers seem to accomplish.  This one clocks in at just 4.8%, making it easy drinking, but still full of flavor.  I’d drink this beer all the time, if it wasn’t about $6 a bottle.  If you see anything from Russian River, and you like beer, treat yourself, despite the cost.  You won’t regret it.
