Seattle has so many great things to offer, culture, art, food, history, and of course oysters. This past week I went to Elliot’s Oyster House for oysters and beers. I must say, those are two of the greatest things on the planet. Elliot’s offers dozens of types of oysters, and offers a great happy hour to boot. If that weren’t enough, they also brew their own beer.
The beer they brew is called Elliot’s Amber. It’s on draft, and was a perfect accompaniment to their oysters. I was stunned to see how many different kinds they offered. At least 15. they also provided details on exactly where they were from and how they were caught. Who knew there were so many ways to harvest an oyster. The beer is solid. I heard it might be brewed by Pyramid. Which explains why it’s a good tasting beer! If you can, get to Elliot’s early, as the oysters are cheapest at 3p. 75 cents! They go up incrementally throughout happy hour. Good times, good beer.
