Should the EMP be greeted with a bulldozer?

To many, Seattle’s EMP museum is an immaculate shrine filled with musical artifacts and other priceless pieces of the area’s history. But others want the EMP to crumble to the ground — and we’re not talking about the stereotypical folks known for saying, “turn that music down!”

California Home & Design Magazine’s  latest issue features an article called “25 Buildings to Demolish Right Now.” More than a dozen architects, along with several editors, say the structure’s exterior isn’t exactly eye candy. They stress the building is “hideous,” not the contents inside.

The building’s designer is Frank Gehry, whose other projects include structures like the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.

There are no plans to demolish the building, but what do you think of the idea?
