According to the U.K.’s Daily Mirror, The Rolling Stones will perform a handful of shows here in the U.S. and the U.K. before hanging it up for good.  And their finale is supposed to go down at next year’s famed Glastonbury Festival, coinciding with their “true” 50th anniversary.  No dates have been announced yet.

UPDATE:  After hearing of this news,  the Stones rep has responded by saying that the group has no plans on retiring next year, nor have they signed on to perform at the Glastonbury Festival.  Furthermore, the spokesperson for the festival has said that next years line up hasn’t even been confirmed yet.  But did throw a juicy little nugget out there with this quote…”there isn’t anything to confirm or deny” the Stones’ rumor.
