Lets face it the economy is  in poor condition and alot of us are hurting for money, but just because you cant afford to fly doesn’t mean your vacation has to suck.
When I am able to get away from work for a few days my favorite places to go are Greyland and Westport or to the
hot springs in Vancouver. Or up to Anacortes, we like to take the boat and sleep on it while there. In the evening we just walk to town and check out whatever festivals or car shows they have going on at the time. Then at night back to the boat with a bottle and some music to party with. If you are heading all the way to Anacortes, then Friday Harbor is a short Ferry ride away and there is always something to do in the San Juan Islands. – Stacy
