Stacy “Crazy Mama” Ireland is your hostess with the mostess for a full hour of Led Zeppelin every Saturday at noon. Seattle and Led Zeppelin have had a love affair going since they first played here in 1968 opening for Vanilla Fudge in the Arena and doing unspeakable things with a mud shark at the Edgewater Inn. They utterly destroyed the Green Lake Aqua Theater the next year. They played the Paramount Theater, the Seattle Pop Festival in Woodinville, the Seattle Center Coliseum no less than six times, and the Kingdome for their 3rd-to-last American show ever. We shouldn’t be surprised, but all of those venues have been destroyed or had to undergo major remodels since. Page, Plant, Jones, and Bonham have usually been trashing hotel rooms, riding motorcycles up and down the hall, and hazing groupies with fish the night before, so it’d be impossible to get them up for breakfast. We save that for The Beatles on Sunday mornings. Zeppelin? We can usually get them downstairs for lunch by noon. Enjoy!
