What was Jimmy Page doing this week in 1983? He’s said that one of the singers he considered for the New Yarbirds before settling on Robert Plant was Paul Rogers.
The two remained good friends through the Zeppelin years, and would end up starting a whole new band in 1984 that refused to play any Led Zeppelin, Free, or Bad Company songs: The Firm. But this week the year before the two teamed up with some other famous friends: Rolling Stones Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood, and Bill Wyman to shoot a video for Wyman’s Willie and the Poor Boys Album:
