Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi was recently diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system, and now, Tony’s bandmate, Ozzy Osbourne, is discussing how he felt when he heard the news.
According to Blabbermouth.net, Ozzy’s first response was that Tony “needs more and more support” because Iommi doesn’t have brothers or sisters, just his wife and the members of Sabbath. However, Ozzy is certain Tony will beat it, explaining, “What it’s down to is determination and believe me, this guy’s got more determination than anybody I’ve ever met. It’s gonna be fine.” Ozzy added, “He ain’t gonna die, I’m telling you. I told him if he dies, I’m gonna kill him.” Sabbath are currently in England, working on their latest album.
