More details about the recently announced Van Halen 2012 tour are trickling out of the VH camp, including the first confirmation there will be a new Van Halen album released February 7th. Van Halen News Desk has posted a timeline for upcoming events as planned by the band:

VHND reports dates and cities for the first wave of the Van Halen 2012 tour will be announced January 3rd. A week later on January 10th, there’s a Van Halen trifecta planned with tickets to the first leg of the tour on sale, the premiere of the first new single and the music video premiere all the same day.

The new Van Halen album is set for a February 7th release and will not be titled The Future as has been widely rumored online.
