Chris Cornell is a prolific artist, singing with Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple Of The Dog, but he’s also got a new solo album coming out featuring songs from those bands and more. SPIN.com reports Cornell also covers Led Zeppelin and John Lennon on the upcoming solo effort. Cornell will release his new album Songbook November 21st, consisting of acoustic performances from his ongoing solo tour.
Cornell talked to SPIN earlier this year about acoustic shows noting, “I think Johnny Cash was quoted as saying, ‘It’s the scariest thing you could do as a musician.’” Cornell’s ‘unplugged’ covers include songs from his own bands as well as Led Zeppelin’s Thank You and John Lennon’s Imagine. Cornell regularly covers tunes while out on the road. See and hear Chris sing Michael Jackson‘s Billie Jean here:
