Our friends at MP3.com recently relaunched their site, and to celebrate we’re helping them give away some fantastic new songs for free! Today, we’re featuring “End To The Lines” from Jane’s Addiction.
It’s hard to believe [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jane’s Addiction[/lastfm] has been at it for over a quarter of a century. On “End To The Lies” from the forthcoming album The Great Escape, the band rocks like it’s brand new.
Featuring guitars and production from [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]TV On The Radio[/lastfm]‘s Dave Sitek, “End To The Lies” sounds like the past (Ritual De Lo Habitual), present (Dave Sitek’s catchy percussive rhythms), and the future (alien verbiage).

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Dave Navarro described one of the tracks from the LP “The Irresistible Force Met The Immovable Object” as a “cosmic sexual exploit.” According to Navarro, the rest of the record will be “…really hypnotic. We’re getting back into using a lot of space and having a lot of air.” The Great Escape will see a release date in August 2011. The album also features production from Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol) with Chris Cheney on bass.
After an eight-year absence, Jane’s Addiction’s return is a cause for celebration!
