As we previously announced, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beady Eye[/lastfm] is coming to America–and our country may never be the same afterward. The new band fronted by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Oasis[/lastfm] cofounder [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Liam Gallagher[/lastfm], Beady Eye is kicking off its first-ever North American tour this month, which includes stops in Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, and New York City, where they will play live at Webster Hall as well as inside the famous Ed Sullivan Theater for a one-of-a-kind Live on Letterman webcast. The members of Beady Eye include not only [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Liam Gallagher[/lastfm] but also three other onetime Oasis bandmembers: Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock. The group dropped its debut album, Different Gear, Still Speeding, earlier this year.
The June 22 Live on Letterman webcast will mark the band’s U.S. television debut: they tape a Late Night with David Letterman performance that day, before taking over the entire Ed Sullivan Theater stage for a full online concert.
