The original members of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Buffalo Springfield[/lastfm] are together and on tour for the first time since 1968. Luckily for us, some concertgoers in the crowd got some footage of them performing on stage.
Waiting over forty years to see [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Buffalo Springfield[/lastfm] in concert takes a healthy amount of patience, considering the idea was far from fathomable for decades. But surviving Buffalo Springfield members [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Neil Young[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Stephen Stills[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Richie Furay[/lastfm] reunited at the annual Bridge School Benefit concerts back in October, and apparently it went so well they have decided to hit the road again.
They will be playing six shows in the California area during the early days of June before heading to the 2011 Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee from June 9th to the 12th.
Such an epic reunion was bound to have concert goers catch some video, ranging in quality from unbearable to pretty damn enjoyable.
Watch Buffalo Springfield’s performance of “I Am A Child” on June 1st in Oakland.
The band came out for an encore… and what an encore! “Rockin’ in the Free World” brought the house down. And at 65 years of age, Neil Young can still rock harder than most musicians half his age.
