[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Steven Tyler[/lastfm] released his “(It) Feels So Good” music video on American Idol last night. It features the 63-year-old rock star and vocals by 32-year-old [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Pussycat Dolls[/lastfm] bandmember Nicole Scherzinger.
Scherzinger’s behind is also briefly used as a drum by Tyler in the video. The apparent love interest in the video is probably young enough to be Tyler’s grand-daughter. Oh, and there is also a belly dancer, a sloth, a giant vulture like bird and an elephant. The insane video was directed by Ray Kay.
Tyler’s been busy this month. On May 3 he released his memoir, Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?
There is also promise for a new [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Aerosmith[/lastfm] album this year.
Is Steven Tyler’s solo career just a giant slap in the face to [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Aerosmith[/lastfm]? According to Tyler it’s not. He recently admitted that he had planned on putting the track on an Aerosmith album. “They didn’t like it,” he told Rolling Stone. “So I just kept it for the last couple of years.”
What do you think about “Brand Tyler” and the new solo video? Is he simply betting he can outlast the aging band? Tell us what you think!
