[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rod Stewart[/lastfm] is ready to get back to work with his former bandmate [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jeff Beck[/lastfm], fresh off his GRAMMY Awards win, for the first time in decades.
The two confirmed a reunion was in the works last month. Stewart said that Beck would record some tracks and send them back to him to get his thoughts, and the collaboration would begin from that point.
Beck began working on those recordings today in San Francisco, according to the Daily Telegraph in the U.K.
Stewart’s manager Arnold Stiefel previously said the new material would be a “far cry” from Stewart’s Great American Songbook stylings to which we’re all accustomed.
Hopefully that means they return to their badass bluesy roots from the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jeff Beck Group[/lastfm]!
